Girls drop out of school at twice the rate of boys by age 14. You have the power to change that.

In 2009, 3rd grader Anissa B. enrolled in the Boston Scores elementary school program. Each year over the following 10 years, Anissa’s coach-mentors supported her on and off the field as she developed her soccer and leadership skills eventually earning a spot on the Varsity soccer team and being voted as Captain of her team. Anissa credits Boston Scores for being instrumental in building her confidence and supporting her aspirations to graduate from high school and enroll in college. Today, Anissa is a freshman at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams and a member of their soccer team!

Our coach-mentors tailor learning on and off the field to build perseverance and help students to make the best choices for life after high school. Boston Scores provides hours of training and one-on-one support to ensure that we are teaching girls (and boys) the life skills necessary to succeed at school and beyond. We empower girls during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives as they transition from puberty to adolescence and help break the cycle of discriminatory and restrictive gender norms that are often persistent in the communities we serve. All of us are excited to see the lives of the next generation are transformed throughout the season as students  learn to work together as a team and take on increasing leadership roles.

We hope you will join us to inspire students like Anissa to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.
