Scores This Week!
Poetry - Week 1

…is a Japanese form of short poetry, consisting of just three lines and seventeen syllables. Haiku are traditionally about the natural world, but you can compose a Haiku about anything. Scores Coaches Kieran and Ive teach you the basics in this week’s video above.

Need more inspiration?  Our special Guest Coach this week is midfielder Scott Caldwell of the New England Revolution! Scott is staying home to help fight the Coronavirus just like all of us these days. He sent us this video from his living room to talk about how writing helps him stay mentally sharp and to share a Haiku of his own.

After you’ve checked out the videos, try to compose your own Haiku!

You can send in a written Haiku or even submit a video of yourself reading your poem by clicking the Share Button above.
