One Hen is Boston Scores flagship service-learning program. Through this program, One Hen guides students through the basics of starting a micro-business. Students learn about loans, marketing, product development, and the important role businesses have in the community. Students then donate the profits from their businesses to address an identified social issue. This translates into improvements in students’ lives and improvements in the community as a whole!
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, a small group of Boston Public School High School students came together to create Poets for Good. This virtual program was designed off of One Hen’s model to empower students to use their passion to create social impact in the community. Please join us on May 19th to hear from our Poets for Good teams directly.
