There are a number of ways to get involved with our organization, with a range of commitment levels. Check out our current opportunities below!

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Become an East Boston FC Coach! 

EBFC is currently recruiting coaches for the Spring 2026 season (April 6th to June 13th)

  • Time Commitment:  Wednesdays evenings and (if possible) Saturday mornings. 
  • Location: The Boston SCORES Field behind the Salesians Boys & Girls Club
    • 150 Byron Street, East Boston, MA 02128.

Referee positions are available during our fall and spring seasons. 

  • Onboarding occurs from January to February for the Spring season, and July to August for the Fall Season. 
  • Game Days require (at minimum) a weekly 2-hour commitment between 2:30 and 6pm on weekdays. 
  • There is also an opportunity to referee on weekends as a part of East Boston FC in East Boston

To referee on weekends in East Boston please contact Community Programs Coordinator, Gabby Duchaussee to learn more and sign-up

Support our Coach-Mentors in the classroom, and help teach poetry and writing to students!

  • Opportunities are available in East Boston, Roxbury, JP, and Roslindale
  • Time slots available from 2:30 to 6 on weekdays
  • Background check required

Interested in supporting fundraising initiatives for Boston SCORES? Join the SCORES Cup or Celebration Gala event committees!

Committee members help with event planning + logisitcs, sponsorship recruitment, and day-of-event support.

  • Committees require at least a monthly, hour long commitment on a seasonal basis

Not able to commit on a regular basis, but still want to support our programming? Volunteer at our events! 

There are various events throughout the calendar year that need volunteer support. From our Poetry Slam in the fall to SCORES Cup in the summer, there is always a need for extra hands. 

These opportunities are communicated with volunteers on a regular basis over email. To recieve these volunteer opportunities, fill out this interest form.

Boston SCORES Advisory Council

Established in Fall 2025, the Boston SCORES Advisory Council (BSAC) amplifies Boston SCORES’ mission by building community, raising funds, and expanding awareness. Council members serve as champions of our work, connecting Boston SCORES with new supporters, partners, and ideas

With the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup approaching, and Boston serving as a host city, now is a pivotal moment to join a movement rooted in equity, youth empowerment, and the legacy of soccer.

Through initiatives like Festival 26, Council members will help ensure this global excitement translates into lasting, local impact for Boston’s youth.

The Boston Marathon®

Official Charity Partner 

Boston SCORES is an official charity partner of The Bank of America Boston Marathon®. 

Our 2026 team applications are now closed. Please fill out the interest form below if you would like to be notified when the 2027 application goes live in fall 2026. 

Important Information: 

  • Our team’s fundraising minimum is $14,000
  • Because of the high volume of applications our organization receives, we prioritize runners that have a connection to Boston SCORES and its affiliates, or can commit to higher fundraising minimums 
  • All international runners must be able to pay their fundraising minimum up front 
  • We welcome applications from all runners if you are passionate about Boston Scores’ mission and are committed to your fundraising minimum!

  • Full and personalized 20-week training plan for every level of running by RRCA certified coaches with organized group runs throughout the season starting in December.

Falmouth Road Race

Originally established in 1973, the Falmouth Road Race is a scenic 7-mile mile course between Woods Hole and Falmouth on Cape Cod. Due to its storied history and spectacular views, the race attracts Olympians, elite runners, and recreational runners alike. 

 

Boston SCORES is a proud member of the Falmouth Road Race Charity Program, and has a group of runners participate in the race annually. 

Join Team Boston SCORES!

The 2026 Falmouth Road Race registration is currently closed. 

Stay tuned for more information about 2027! 

Team Requirements:

  1. Commit to a fundraising minimum of $1500 and cover or fundraise the $225 race entry fee. This minimum must be raised by September 30th. 
  2. Pick-up your race bib at the Falmouth Health and Fitness Expo
  3. Attend the Falmouth Road Race.
