  • OVERVIEW: Our Hatch The Future event highlights our service-learning program. This event allows guests a unique opportunity to meet our students firsthand and hear about their small businesses and products. It is also a great event for socializing with other likeminded supporters.

  • OVERVIEW: Jamboree celebrates the completion of the Boston Scores Program year with an end-of-season soccer tournament, service-learning project presentations, fun team activities, and food. The Jamboree brings together all of the teams involved in our elementary school program.
  • VOLUNTEER ROLES: Set up, registration, service learning, food, refereeing, breakdown etc.
  • DATE & LOCATION: June 2022, location tbd
  • OVERVIEW: The Blast celebrates the completion of the Boston Scores Program year with an end-of-season soccer tournament, service-learning project presentations, fun team activities, and food. The Blast brings together all of the teams involved in our middle school program.
  • VOLUNTEER ROLES: Set up, registration, food, refereeing, breakdown etc.
  • DATE & LOCATION: Summer 2022, Gillette Stadium
  • OVERVIEW: In partnership with the New England Revolution, this annual 7 v 7 Soccer tournament raises over $370,000 for Boston Scores and draws 600 individuals from some of Boston’s leading corporations for a fun and competitive day of soccer. This is a great opportunity for building comradery amongst co-workers, and networking with hundreds of other individuals mainly within finance, accounting, and law.
  • VOLUNTEER ROLES: Set up, registration, food serving, on-field support, face painting, kids activities, VIP station, tournament-scheduling support, breakdown etc.
  • DATE & LOCATION: Fall 2022
  • OVERVIEW: This event features a new upscale venue at Morton’s The Steakhouse and special guests including public figures, New England Revolution players and President, and additional keynote speakers. With the new set up, Boston Scores more than doubled the funds raised to $220k, which directly supports our growing soccer and enrichment programs for thousands of Boston youth.

The Pitch

  • DATE & LOCATION: November 2021
  • OVERVIEW: Boston Scores middle school students gather to present their business plans and the causes to which they plan to donate their profits at “The Pitch” to a panel of judges. Teams receive funding for their businesses based on the judges’ responses and will launch their businesses in the spring.
  • VOLUNTEER ROLES: Set up, registration, food station, judges panel, activity group, breakdown etc
  • DATE & LOCATION: November 2021, virtual event
  • OVERVIEW: Boston Scores’ Poetry Slam is a night to celebrate our 390 elementary school poet-athletes. Performing for their friends, family, teachers, principals and special guests, each team astounds the audience with their poetry and team performances. The Slam follows a theme that directs how poet-athletes and writing coaches craft their original works. Past themes have included “Walk with me,” “Wouldn’t it be nice (if),” and “Last night I dreamt.” The themes elicited strong and personal poems from our poet-athletes.

  • OVERVIEW: Paired with the Poetry Slam is our Poet’s Banquet, which takes place in early spring. This event brings together 26 of our top student performers to share their personal poems for a chance to become the “Poet of the Year.” These individuals are nominated by their coaches based on the students writing and performance abilities, commitment, leadership, and love of poetry.
