What We Do

Our Model

Boston SCORES School-Based Programming

Boston Scores partners with Boston Public Schools and community partners to provide youth in grades K-12 with afterschool soccer and enrichment programs.

By working directly with and in schools, Boston SCORES creates safe environments where young people can build connections with their community and build essential life skills.

Elementary-School

Students learn how to read, interpret, write, and perform poetry.

Middle-School

Students shape their awareness of social causes in their communities by learning about social entrepreneurship

Boston Scores employs one of the most intensive data evaluation efforts in the city.
  • Our program team includes a Data & Evaluation Manager who monitors program progress, analyzes our evaluation data and closes the feedback loop with our constituents to let them know how their input influences Scores’ programming.
  • We are also part of the prestigious Wallace-Foundation funded Partnerships in Social-Emotional Learning Initiative (PSELI), which provides us with comprehensive multi-part evaluation data from youth, teachers, and independent observers for our K-12 programs

The SCORES Network

Boston SCORES is a legacy program of the 1994 World Cup and is a proud member of the SCORES Network.

SCORES programming was founded in DC in 1994, by public school teacher Julie Kennedy. The program first expanded to Boston in 1999, and has now grown into a movement encompassing 13 cities across North America.
